The Government of Japan grants 150,388 Euro for Supporting Health Care Institutions in BiH

The Government of Japan provides grant funds in the amount of 150,388 Euro (approx. 294,130 BAM) for the projects of the Health Care Centers in Kiseljak and Konjic. The Grant contracts were signed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan toBosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. AIKI Toshihiro, and the directors of the aforementioned institutions, Mr. Nino Baban and Mr. Dzemal Hajdukon Sep 29, 2025 at the Residence of the Ambassador of Japan.

The Government of Japan granted 49,459 Euro (approx. 96,730 BAM) to the Project for Provision of an Ambulance for the Health Care Centre in Kiseljak. Through implementation of this project approx. 1,000 patients annually are expected to receive adequate emergency transfer service.

For the Project for the Provision of an X-ray Machine for the Health Care Centre in Konjic the amount of 100,929 Euro (approx. 197,400 BAM) was granted. This project will improve the capacity for early detection and timely treatment of diseases, which is expected to directly benefit over 7,000 patients each year.

The Government of Japan has been assisting the improvement of essential sectors, including health care and education, in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the scheme of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) which began in 1996. The total grants approved forBosnia and Herzegovina in the last 29 years amount to over 20 million Euro (approx. 39 million BAM).
