The Kremlin replied to Trump: “There is no such Thing as a Paper Bear”

The Kremlin on Wednesday rejected US President Donald Trump’s claims that Russia is a “paper tiger”, adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin still appreciates the Republican’s efforts to end the war in Ukraine, even though they have so far failed to produce results.

In a sudden shift in his narrative, Trump announced on Tuesday that he believes Ukraine can take back all the occupied territory, and called on Kiev to act immediately as Moscow faces “major” economic problems.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov rejected the US president’s claims, saying that Russia is a bear, not a tiger, and that there is no such thing as a “paper bear.”

Assuring that Russia is “stable,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with RBC radio that “Russia maintains its economic stability,” adding, however, that “Russia is facing tensions and problems in various sectors of the economy.”

Peskov also said that the Russian army is advancing in Ukraine and that the dynamics on the front lines of the battle are clear. A Kremlin spokesman claims that Moscow has no choice but to continue its offensive in Ukraine.

“We continue our special military operation in order to secure our interests and achieve the goals set by the president of our country from the very beginning. And we do this for the present and future of our country, for many future generations. Therefore, we have no alternative,” said Peskov, as reported by the FP agency.

Peskov also said that the warming of relations between Washington and Moscow, which was instigated by Trump, has so far brought “almost zero results”.
