The Number of People killed in Israeli Attacks in Gaza surpasses 50.000

At least 41 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll since October 2023 to 50.021, the Ministry of Health announced on Sunday.

The ministry’s statement said that among the dead were two bodies recovered from the rubble two days ago.

The ministry also reported that 61 injured people were transferred to hospitals, bringing the number of wounded in the Israeli offensive to 113.274.

“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads, as rescuers cannot reach them,” the statement added.

More than 700 Palestinians have been killed and over 1.200 wounded in Israel’s sudden air campaign on Gaza since Tuesday, which ended the ceasefire and the prisoner exchange agreement that had been in effect since January.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel is also facing a genocide charge before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over the war in the enclave, Federalna writes.
