The Presidency of BiH holds its first regular Session in the new Convocation

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina held today its first regular session, in the new convocation, at which the invitation to participate in the EU-Western Balkans Summit, which will be held on December 6 in Tirana, Albania, was accepted.

The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at that summit will be led by the Chairperson of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović.

The members of the BiH Presidency agreed that the Chairperson of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović, on behalf of the BiH Presidency, would send a letter to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted by a majority of votes the Report on the implementation of the budget of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the international obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2021, which will be submitted to the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The BiH Presidency also approved the conclusion of the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH and the Federal Public Service for Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium; the Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand; Agreement on partnership in the implementation of the project “Support to the Mine Action Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHMAC) in the implementation of the real-time information management system for mine action in Bosnia and Herzegovina BHIMSMA Core” between the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining and the non-governmental humanitarian organization Norwegian People’s Aid.

The Mine Action Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHMAC) undertakes to include the Republic Administration of Civil Protection and the Federal Administration of Civil Protection in the implementation of that agreement and to coordinate activities with the aforementioned institutions.

The two-year agreement on cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Regional Office of the World Health Organization for Europe for the period 2022-2023 and the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary on cooperation within the Stipendium Hungaricum program for the period 2023-2025.

The BiH Presidency today made decisions on the acceptance of the Grant Agreement (Port of Brčko) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which refers to an investment grant from the European Common Fund for the Western Balkans and the Agreement between the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina on the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the “Fiscalis” program for the period 2021-2027.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina passed the Decision on initiating the procedure for conducting negotiations for the conclusion of the Agreement between the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of National Defense of Romania on defense cooperation.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina received the Information on the situation in the area of ​​migration in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2021 and the Information on the situation in the area of ​​migration in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first four months of 2022.

A decision was made on the ratification of the Grant Agreement dated 7/4/2022 and Amendment No. 8 to the Financing Agreement dated February 27, 2006, between KfW, Frankfurt am Main (“KfW”) and Bosnia and Herzegovina represented by the Council of Ministers of BiH (“Recipient”) – in the amount of EUR 6,000,000.00 – Mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MICMSME) – through the European Fund for Bosnia and Herzegovina (EFBH) – Phase 2, announced the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
