The Skiing Season in Bjelasnica Mountain finally opens Today

After a long delay due to the lack of snow, the skiing season in Bjelašnica finally opens tomorrow. The six-seater and lift K1 will be in operation, as well as the Kolijevka trail.

The Olympic Center of Bjelašnica and Igman brings good news for skiing fans today. After the failed pre-season of skiing, from tomorrow, it will be possible to ski on the Olympic beauty Bjelašnica.

“During the past 7 days, the snowmaking system worked 24/7, but the weather conditions did not allow sufficient supplies to be created for the opening of the ski resort,” said the Olympic Center.

Today, a team of over 40 people shoveled snow by hand on the parts of the track that are not covered by cannons. The amount of snow is still not enough to cover the entire trail, so the center asked users for their understanding.

In the coming period, meteorologists are predicting lower temperatures and higher precipitation.

Therefore, we can expect that in the near future the whole of Bjelašnica will be covered with snow and the entire ski slope will be in operation.

The center announced that the price of day and half-day tickets will be reduced by 50 percent.
