The Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zukan Helez and the military attaché of FR Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colonel Franz-Josef Nolte, signed today the Technical Agreements and Annex 2 between that ministry and FR Germany.

Through the signed agreements, Germany donates financial resources for the procurement of field uniforms and infrastructure works at the locations of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the total value of the donation is more than five million euros.

Helez thanked Colonel Nolte, saying that this is another confirmation that Germany is one of BiH’s strong and reliable partners on its way to strengthening its own capacities and modernizing the Armed Forces of BiH.

“I firmly believe that today’s signing of the Technical Agreements and Annex 2, which will be financed with the help of a donation from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, will enable the modernization of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in this way provide better conditions for work and residence for members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is important to note that this is not the only assistance in the modernization of facilities for the needs of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but the same takes place through several significant financial projects that have started or are in various stages of implementation, but also new projects have been announced by FR Germany this year,” Helez said.

Nolte emphasized that the signing of the agreement also means the continuation of good cooperation.

“One of our goals is to enable our partners to have a stable and safe environment. Wherever help is needed and we can help, we are at your disposal,” said Nolte.

During the meeting, the “financial transfer letter” for Project 030 was signed, and it was signed by the representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Svetlana Pavelić, and the military attaché of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colonel Nolte. Through this project, funds are being donated for the modernization of the weapons warehouse in Visoko, announced the Ministry of BiH.
