Among the passengers from Bosnia and Herzegovina who were on the bus that overturned near Venice, there were no serious injuries, said the Consul General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Italy, Dag Đumrukčić.

He stated that the Italian police informed the consulate that the bus overturned around 2:30 a.m. and that 10 people were taken to the emergency room with minor injuries.

“They were processed there and immediately released, a bus was provided for them to go to Gorica, where they have accommodation,” Đumrukčić told “Dnevni avaz”.

He added that he also contacted the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Rome, which was also informed about everything.

The bus, with 77 passengers and two drivers, overturned in San Dona di Piave near Venice.

Firefighters helped to pull out the passengers from the overturned bus, and the injured were taken to the emergency room in Jezola. Passengers who were not injured were transported to Jezolo by fire brigade bus.

The bus was returning tourists to Trieste after watching New Year’s fireworks in Punta Sabioni.
