The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that humanitarian aid is only a few tens of kilometers away from the Gaza border, but that there is increasing hunger among the Palestinians.
UNRWA Director of Planning Sam Rose strongly criticized Israel’s restrictions on the Gaza border crossings.
He reminded that the international community is asking for aid trucks to be brought through the Rafah and Kerm Abu Salim border crossings.
He added that pressure should be put on Israel to open the Al-Mintar, Al-Shujaiyya and Beit Hanun crossings.
