“There is no Serbia without the RS, it would only be a ‘Pashaluk of Belgrade’”, BiH Security Minister says

BiH Security Minister Nenad Nešić said that in the event of the disappearance of Republika Srpska, the existence of the Republic of Serbia within its borders would be called into question.

“If the Republika Srpska were to disappear, new issues would open up, a new issue of Raška, but that would be the issue of Sandžak, after that the issue of Vojvodina would open up. You see that in Vojvodina we have some people who think they are from Vojvodina, that they are not Serbs “You know what would happen if Republika Srpska disappeared. Belgrade and the rest would not be part of the Republic of Serbia,” says Nešić.

He said that those who think that RS is not an important issue of Serbia are mistaken.

“The Republika Srpska is the most important issue of Serbia, next to Kosovo and Metohija. The loss of Kosovo and Metohija, followed by the disappearance of the RS, is the loss of Serbia. Serbia cannot exist without Kosovo and the Republika Srpska. They say that Kosovo is the heart of Serbia, and I agree I agree with that, but I will tell you that the soul of Serbia is the Republika Srpska. The disappearance of the RS would call into question the existence and survival of Serbia,” he said in the “Rubikon” podcast.
