The third fair of organic producers opened yesterday in Gradačac, and was organized by the Association “Women’s Network with Big Heart in BiH” and the Association of organic producers “Eko-etno BiH”.

There were around 70 producers of organic food from BiH at the fair.

Professor Dževad Jarebica said how BiH has a wealth that other countries do not have, and that has to be utilized.

“We could be fully happy that we are still producing food without any additives that are detrimental to the health of people’’, said Professor Jarebica.

The Advisor to the Minister for Agriculture in the FBiH Suad Čamdžić said how organic produce is gaining in importance and that it would have the full support of the responsible federal ministry.

“Organic produce is important for us, our children, for our survival and for our economy. The federal ministry will be at your disposal and all other farmers in BiH so that we could come together to return to the earth and to local products so that we move forward together”, said Čamdžić.

During the day a series of lectures and panel discussion will be held related to organic production of food, after which the fair will close.
