Third SaMED in Sarajevo gathered Students from Four Continents

saMEDThird International Congress of Medical Students (SaMED), which was held in Sarajevo from the 1st to 5th of February, gathered more than 350 students of biomedicine and young doctors from 30 countries from four continents and this is the largest congress of this kind in Southeast Europe.

“Congress positioned Sarajevo at the level of Europe and the world again, so this is something that brands Sarajevo in that sense,” said Bakir Rovcanin, President of the Organizing Committee of SaMED.

The presence of eminent speakers from our country, region, Europe and the United States is the best proof of the importance of SaMED and its role in the field of medical science.

During the congress was held 120 lectures on various topics which were divided into 9 sessions and 8 workshops of practical medicine.

Participants of SaMED are the future leaders of the health system of their countries, and this is an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and opinions in the future active approach in the process of reform and improvement of the health care system.

“Congress has organized at a high level once again and we are very proud to be part of it. We like the presentation as well as the level of participants who participate in them. We sincerely hope that we will come again next year,” said Natalia Pavliukovych from Ukraine.
