Thousands of fans welcomed the Croatian handball players in Zagreb, who became the vice champions of the world, after losing to Denmark in the final 32:26.

Croatia offered a good resistance to the Danes, only in the first part of the first half, but later Nikolaj Jacobsen’s team demonstrated their strength and won the fourth title of world champion in a row.

The coach of Croatia, Dagur Sigurdsson, was delighted with the reception and told the attendees

“People, you are completely crazy!”.

The crowd quickly responded with chants.

“No one is normal here”.

Domagoj Duvnjak also received a standing ovation, who was honored by the Zagreb crowd, as he finished an impressive national team career with nine medals won. The fans chanted “Dule, we love you!”, and Duvnjak responded.

“This team wouldn’t have made it to the finals without you. Please support them in the future, no matter what happens. I love you, thank you Zagreb, thank you Croatia”, said Domagoj to those present.
