At least three earthquakes hit the neighborhood of Prozor in the night from Wednesday to Thursday, and they were felt in the larger towns of BiH as well as the Croatian coast.

According to the data of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the first earthquake of 4.5 degrees was recorded around 00:46  with an epicenter in the central part of our country, near Prozor, at a depth of five kilometers. The strength was large enough to be felt by residents of Sarajevo, Mostar, Zenica, and Split.

The second one took place just four minutes later and its strength was 4.7 degrees on the Richter scale. The epicenter was between Prozor and Jablanica Lake at a depth of two kilometers.

Almost the same area, just a few kilometers west, was hit by the third earthquake with 4.3 degrees at a depth of almost 10 kilometers, just eight minutes later, as reported by EMSC.

All three earthquakes were the fourth grade of the Mercalli scale. Fourth degree refers to earthquakes that can wake up certain individuals, shake a parked car or cause the walls to crackle and plates to clatter.
