Today is Promotion of the Best Students in the Tuzla Canton

On the occasion of 8th April, World Roma Day, the Tuzla Canton Ministry for Education, Science, Culture and Sport and the Association of Roma Women “Better Future”, with the support of the OSCE Mission to BiH and the financial support of the EU and in the framework of the ODIHR Project “Best Experiences for Roma Inclusion”, is organizing the seventh promotion of successful Roma students in the Tuzla canton. It will be held today in the Cultural Center “Husino” in Tuzla.

The OSCE Mission to BIH initiated rewarding Roma students in 2007, and now local authorities and the Tuzla canton government is officially organizing it.  OSCE2

The promotion demonstrates the willingness of local authorities to work on improving conditions of education for all children.

Students from the Tuzla high schools Husino, Kreka, Kiseljak, Bukinje and Mejdan will participate in the program.

The Assistant Ombudsman of BiH Alma Suljić will address participants.
