The traditional 455th high jump from the Old Bridge, which will bring together numerous jumpers from Mostar and the region, will be held today in Mostar, starting at 4 p.m.

As previously announced, about forty jumpers are participating, and they come from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also from Montenegro, Slovenia, Serbia and jumpers from Kosovo, if they manage to get visas. It would also be the first time since the war that jumpers from that country have come to jump from the Old Bridge.

This year’s jumping event will end at 10pm.

The jury of this year’s jumps will include Haris Džemat, Haris Škoro, Samir Zukanović, Branko Bogičević and Alica Jakirović.

Earlier, it was announced that in addition to Mostar Mayor Mario Kordic, Sarajevo Mayor Benjamina Karic will also attend the traditional jumps in Mostar.

The invitation to the Mayor of Banja Luka, Draško Stanivuković, was withdrawn by the Organizing Committee of the Mostar Jumping Club because of his comments on the decision of the High Representative in BiH to impose amendments to the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina prohibiting and punishing genocide denial.
