The event “Trebevic Eko Fest” will be held between August 25th and 27th in the Center for Rest and Relaxation Brus on the mountain Trebevic, along with many ecological, youth, sports, cultural and music events, according to the organizers.
In the evening hours, concerts are planned at which regional starts will play, such as SARS, Elemental, Skroz, Helem Nejse and others, while various Sarajevan DJs will play music after midnight.
The cities of Sarajevo and East Sarajevo supported the projects, as well as the tourist communities of both cities and the Delegation of the European Union to BiH.
Zeljko Antonic, the director of the festival, said that the manifestation is intended to attract attention to Trebevic and be the first of many projects to revitalize this mountain.
He noted that he is trying to pass the message about the importance of protecting the environment as the most important element of people’s lives, in a time when we’re witnessing widespread pollution and droughts.
“We all breathe the same air and drink the same water, regardless of which side of the line we live on and, only after we lose those things we need will we become aware of the futility and useless of the divisions in our lives,” Antonic said.
Both days of the festival, other festival content will be held, from those of a serious educational nature to those of a natural nature. Special attention was paid to the camp zone in which campers will be able to put up their tents, if they buy a two-day ticket.
Everyone who comes on their bike will get free tickets for that day.
For all visitors from Sarajevo, bus lines have been organized for Friday and Saturday in front of the National Museum at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:00, 20:00 and 23:00 and from Brus at 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00, 19:00, 22:00 and 24:00.
