When is the Trial of Ratko Mladić expected to finish?

Witness in Ratko Mladic Case Died jutarnji.hrThe presentation of closing arguments at the trial of the former commander of the Army of Republika Srpska, charged with genocide and war crimes committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is scheduled for December.

Court Council of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in Den Haag ordered the prosecution and defense to submit the final trial briefs in the procedure against the former commander of the army of Bosnian Serbs, general Ratko Mladić, by October 25.

Presentation of closing arguments of prosecution is scheduled for December 5 to December 7, and closing arguments of defense will be presented on December 9, 12 and 13.

Prosecution and defense will have an opportunity to reply to closing arguments on December 15 for an hour and a half respectively, thus completing the first instance trial.

After that, the Court Council chaired by Judge Alphons Orie will vote and decide, so the first instance verdict of Mladić can be expected next year.
