Guantanamo Prisoners delfi.ltPentagon will send two prisoners from Guantanamo to Montenegro and B&H to start new lives, in the latest efforts to close this notorious prison, Reuters reported.

In the statement from Pentagon it was stated that the third prisoner, Muhamed Bavazir, refused to get on the flight for Europe, so he stayed in the American base in Cuba.

One Egyptian with difficult health condition was transferred to B&H. and a prisoner from Yemen was transferred to Montenegro, the US Ministry stated, adding that neither one of them could return to the country of origin.

Pentagon did not state why Bavazir refused to transfer to country intended for him and which was not named, and the attorney John Chandler stated that he insisted on being sent to one of several countries where he has relatives, since he could not return to Yemen.

So far, the US authorities released 91 prisoners in total from Guantanamo. Two prisoners transferred to B&H and Montenegro yesterday are a part of a group of 17 prisoners which are to leave Guantanamo this month.
