Two projects for women in B&H

Within the Program of localizing the gender in the Federation of B&H which implement the Gender Center of the Federation of B&H, the Gender Center and the Netherlands organization for development (SNV) with the support of the UN WOMEN Foundation for equality of gender has organized the ceremony of signing the agreement on financing the project for women in Sarajevo. Two projects from this agreement will be realized in the Municipality of Žepče.

The program will finance 14 local projects in the Municipalities of Žepče, Sapna, South Doboj, Novi Travnik, Sanski Most, Novi Grad Sarajevo and Orašje. The total worth of the project is 770.000 BAM. This investment will secure 200 working places for women living in these aforementioned Municipalities.

Projects that were chosen for financing are from the Municipality gender action plans, which have the aim to politically and economically strengthen the population in the Municipalities that are part of the program, and especially women. Financial support was also given to  projects of the Municipality Žepče entitled ” Economical strengthening of women in agricultural business”, and ” Improvement of the involvement of women- improvement of life for all in the Municipality of Žepče”. The total worth of this project that will be realized in Žepče is 91.168,60 BAM.
