U17 Basketball: BiH defeated South Korea

basketballThe U17 national basketball team of BiH achieved a convincing victory against South Korea with a result of 105:85 in the match of the 3rd round of the Group D at the World Championship in Zaragoza, Spain.

BiH players opened the match very well and the result after first five minutes was 18:8. By the end of the first quarter, the difference increased to +14, when the result was 32:18. Sani Čampara played the amazing ten minutes by scoring four three-pointers.

The second quarter showed the uniform game where the current champions of Asia were slightly better. They achieved the result of 25:24 in the second quarter, so the result after two quarters was 56:43 in favor of BiH.

The same rate of scores was in the third quarter, but the BiH boys did not allow much of relaxation so with the convincing game in the last ten minutes they reached the final 105:85.

Players who excelled during this match are Sani Čampara (25 points) and Džanan Musa (36 points). Together, the two of them scored 61 points. Musa added 11 rebounds to that. Double-double effect went to Čerkezović with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

All teams of the World Championship enter the round of sixteen and the BiH team is on the second position in the group. Since BiH crosses with the Group C, the BiH players will play with Australia, who ended the group stage on th e third position. The match with Australia is scheduled for Tuesday, June 28.

Adi Alikadić, Sani Čampara 25, Emir Čerkezović 14, Aljoša Janković 7, Drago Cvitanović, Miladin Vlačić, Amer Barukčija 1, Lazar Mutić 14, Srđan Kočić 2, Vedran Mirković 6, Emir Bačvić (?), Džanan Musa 36.
