In the last few days, the first advance party of troops from the UK started to arrive in camp Butmir after landing at Sarajevo International Airport in order to take part in the annual exercise ‘Quick Response 2018’.

The troops were met at the airport by EUFOR Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Gabor Horvath who welcomed them to BiH and took the opportunity to take a look inside the troop-carrying aircraft.

The General also witnessed the professionalism of the ground crew from the airport as they unloaded a large number of stores from the aircraft and moved them onto waiting for EUFOR trucks.

The excellent cooperation between the airport staff, Border Police and EUFOR was clear to see and it was good practice for when the larger troop contingents arrive in the coming weeks.
