The government of the USA continues to work with government and entity institutions in Bosnia-Herzegovina, as well as with the Red Cross, on the ensuring of humanitarian aid on the territory of B&H.
Five trucks from camp Darby from the USA army in situated in Garrisonu Livorno in Italy are on their way to Bosnia-Herzegovina. There are more than 25 tones of humanitarian aid in the total amount of 700 000 Dollars. According to the Embassy of the USA in B&H, around 1 200 sleeping bags, beds, blankets and rugs, 720 canisters of water, 200 canisters of fuel, three mobile kitchens, 14 heaters, 7 aggregates, 15 pumps for water as well as other necessities, will be brought to B&H.
Moreover, American help included the tools for recalibration of helicopters which is needed to Armed forces of B&H for the implementation of their intensive actions of search and rescue. Tools were transferred by plane from Bosnia-Herzegovina to Germany, more precisely to American objects for recalibration on 18th of May and are expected to be transferred back to B&H soon.
“This action will enable the continuation of operation UH1 Huey helicopter of Armed forces of B&H and will help in engaging three additional UH1 Huey helicopters in order to support emergency interventions. The government of the USA continues to work on the urgent identification of forms of military and civil aid, especially in purchasing of systems for water cleaning and additional boats for searching, rescue, clearing and restoration”, was announced by the Embassy of the USA.
Moreover, they emphasize that they are ready to give additional help if it would be needed.
