US said that Israel must make a “difference” between the Hamas and Civilians in its Military Operations

US officials said today that Israel must take all necessary measures to make a “difference” in its military operations between the Hamas movement and Palestinian civilians, as the Israeli military steps up its bombardment and ground operation in the Gaza Strip.

“We think that every hour, every day of this military operation, the Israeli government should take all possible measures at its disposal to distinguish between Hamas – terrorists, who are legitimate military targets – and civilians who are not,” said the adviser to national security of the White House Jake Sullivan.

According to him, the American authorities advise this in their communication with the Israelis.

Sullivan said that US President Joseph Biden is scheduled to speak with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the day.

Biden and Netanyahu have been talking almost daily since the start of the war, which was launched after the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israeli soil.

In retaliation, the Israeli army mercilessly bombards the Gaza Strip, which Hamas has controlled since 2007.
