RamićiAdults with developmental disabilities who are users of the Public Institution Pazarić Institute will live independently in new houses in the village Ramići as of September 2.

Construction of the international village Ramići was provided by the Association “Freundeskreis Pazaric Bosnien-Herzegowina e. V.” from Baden-Baden, Germany and the federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. Financial support for equipping three newly built houses with furniture and accompanying technical devices was provided by the company HIFA Petrol.

The village will be opened by the Director of the Pazarić Institute Jasmin Ćerimagić, the federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy Vesko Drljača, and representative of the Association from Germany.

Pazarić Institute emphasized that this is a very important project that will enable better living conditions for persons with intellectual difficulties in development in a local community, and a project that will continue the process of deinstitutionalization of the institution.

This village will house 30 users. It is located near the central part of the Pazarić Institute, so people who stay in this village will be able to walk and hang our with their friends.

The plan is to include as many users of the Institute as possible in the local community as equal citizens. Another ten apartments which will provide accommodation for two users each will also be built, thus providing home for another 20 users.

Opening of the international village Ramići is scheduled on Friday, September 2, at 11 am.
