Bijeljina19The Mayor of Bijeljina Mićo Mićić, Director of the Company ‘Vodovod I Kanalizacija’ of Bijeljina Predrag Perković and the management from the Austrian Company ‘Va Tech Wabag’ signed an agreement in Banja Luka yesterday on the construction of a waste water treatment plant in Bijeljina worth more than 7 million Euros.

The plant will be built in Velika Obarska, and in the first phase of the sewage system 40.000 households in Bijeljina will be connected, while in the second phase of expansion 160.000 households will be included.

The funds for the implementation of the project was donated by the Swedish Development Agency (SIDA) and the EU, and it is expected that the agreement will be completed in 17.5 months, with a three-month probationary period.
