zene-selo-sajam-4Within the marking of the Women’s Day, a fair of products made by country women was held yesterday at the Square of Liberty in Tuzla. Numerous visitors had the opportunity to taste and purchase the most delicious salads, jams, chutney, juices, dairy products, traditional Bosnian delights, and various handicrafts.

All the presented products were made by the hardworking women from Vlasenica and Bratunac municipalities.

The fair was organized within the project “Empowerment of women in rural communities” in charge of whose implementation was the Association Vive Žene from Tuzla. Participants in the fair are partners of this association and users from the territory of the municipalities Bratunac and Vlasenica, and for entrepreneur women from Tuzla.

In addition to the fair that was held in Vlasenica first, and then in Tuzla, a roundtable on the topic of the position of women in rural communities was recently held.

According to the project coordinator Mima Dahić, that was an opportunity for women from rural communities to present their problems and talk about what it takes to develop their business projects.

“This was also a great challenge for our association. There are 50 women currently in this project and every day we have more and more requests for membership. Therefore, next year we will certainly have a lot more participants,” Dahić said.
