vrelo bosne

Vrelo Bosne is a favorite resort for residents of Sarajevo, but also for domestic and foreign tourists. With the summer season, the number of visitors has significantly increased, and the PI Protected Natural Areas of Sarajevo Canton are rubbing their hands with joy.

The director of this institution, Osman Delić, said that 31,454 people visited this resort in May, not including the local residents and children under the age of six, who don’t have to pay the admission.

“Last year in May, when there were floods, 17,000 people visited Vrelo Bosne, which means that we got almost as twice as many visits in this year. The season started great and we are hoping that it will continue in the same way,” said Delić, adding that the most of foreign tourists are from Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia and Turkey.

Delić revealed that this summer, the children’s park will get new equipment for play, which will surely surprise the little ones. Also, a new fence around the three lakes will be set up and a new banners with information will be set on the education track.
