vjekoslav_bevanda-01Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda received yesterday in Sarajevo the residential representative of the UNDP in BIH Yuri Afanasiev. They spoke about future cooperation of UNDP and the Council of Ministers.

Resident representative of UNDP to BIH Afanasiev spoke to Bevanda about the implementation of the previous five-year program of UNDP to BiH, whose program cycle has just ended.

He expressed satisfaction that of the planned 180 million dollars UNDP managed to implement 250 million dollars in BiH. He added that currently UNDP is working on evaluating the situation in BIH, which would serve as a basis for creating new five-year program whose objectives will be aligned with the needs of BIH.

Bevanda said that in the next period BIH has no alternative other than Euro Atlantic integration, because this is the only path that would bring benefits.

“The priority of BiH is the economy, with which experts and business people should focus on. We have to create an ambient where the focus of concern is on entrepreneurs who create jobs’’, said Chairman Bevanda.

Resident representative Afanasiev expressed satisfaction because the goals of the Council of Ministers and UNDP match. He said that in the next period, the activities of BIH have to be directed to economic development, support to small and medium businesses, and social inclusion and protection of minorities, announced the BiH Council of Ministers.
