Week of Open Door of Gazi Husrev-Begova Library from 20-25 January

bibliotekaAfter the official opening of the building of the Gazi Husrev-Begova library in Sarajevo, from 20-25 January the ‘week of open door of Gazi Husrev-Begova library’ will take place from 8:00 to 17:00.

‘’We will open our doors to all those who wish to become familiar with the library, its services, what we offer, the beauty of its heritage’’, said to Fena Šahsena Đulović, Assistant for the Press Office of GHB.

Employees of GHB will be at the service of visitors all week and will hand out necessary information.

Đulović said that cultural events are expected to take place, as well as the promotion of a catalogue of GHB and screening of the film ‘Čuvar bošnjačkog naslijeđa’ (keeper of bosniak heritage) by Zehra Alispahić. Visitors can tour the departments for restoration and conservation, depots where stored books are kept, museum, multimedia hall, exhibition space, information desk, and all facilities of GHB.

‘’During the open door week, Gazi Husrev-Begova library, there will be complementary enrollment for all those who come and wish to take part’’, said Đulović.
