What is the average Price of Meter Square of New Apartments in BiH?

The average price of new apartments sold in Bosnia and Herzegovina per square meter in the first quarter of this year was 2,775 BAM.

Compared to the average price of new apartments sold per square meter in 2023, the average price is seven percent higher, and compared to the first quarter of 2023, it is higher by 17.2 percent.

According to the data of the BiH Statistics Agency, in the price structure of new apartments, the largest part (54.5 percent) refers to the cost of construction and contractor’s profit, other costs include VAT (31.1 percent) and the price of construction land (14.4 percent).

In the first quarter, 713 new apartments were sold, and that number is 2.6 percent higher than in the first quarter of last year. Compared to the average number of new apartments sold in 2023, it is lower by 30.2 percent.

The surface area of new apartments sold in the first quarter of this year is 1.2 percent lower than the first quarter of last year, and compared to the average area of new apartments sold in 2023, it is 30.3 percent lower.
