At the end of April, there were 309,823 persons on the records of employment institutes and services in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and compared to the previous month, the number of unemployed was lower by 4,457 or 1.42 percent, and lower by 9,953 or 3.07 percent than last year.
Unemployment in Republika Srpska decreased by 185 persons or 0.38 percent, in the Federation of BiH by 4,180 persons or 1.65 percent, and in Brčko District by 92 or 0.80 percent, according to the data of the Agency for Labor and Employment of BiH.
On the records in April, there were the most qualified workers – 97,181 or 31.37 percent of the total number, followed by the unqualified, 89,805 or 28.99 percent, and persons with secondary education 88,853 or 28.68 percent.
24,708 people with a higher education or 7.97 percent of the total number sought work, 4,767 or 1.54 percent of them have a higher education, 3,952 or 1.28 percent have a lower education, and 557 or 0.18 percent are highly qualified workers.
Of the total number of registered unemployed in April, there were 10,525 newly registered job seekers.
In April, 15,020 persons were deleted from the records of employment services, of which 8,715 were employed.
At the same time, 8,234 people lost their jobs, while employers reported the need to hire 3,046 new workers during this period.
According to the data of the BiH Statistics Agency, in March the number of employed persons in BiH was 849,837, which is 0.1 percent more than the previous month.
