In the period from the 15th of November to the 15th of April, on the territory of BiH is legally mandatory possession and use of winter equipment for motor vehicles, regardless of weather conditions, as warned from BIHAMK.
The winter equipment include tires with winter profile on all wheels (tread depth minimum of 4 mm) or tires with summer profile (tread depth minimum of 4 mm) and the appropriate accessories chains that are placed on the drive wheels in the case of winter conditions.
Winter equipment for trucks and buses include ashovel and a bag of sand as well.
The penalty for not having the required winter equipment is 40 BAM.
