The football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated in Los Angeles by Switzerland with a score of 1:4, in the match of the second round of Group B at the World Cup. The Dragons will look for a victory in the final, decisive match against Qatar, which will be played on June 24 in Seattle, to qualify for the knockout phase of the World Cup.
The winner was decided in the second half of the match. The scorers for the Swiss were Manzambi in the 74th and 90th minutes, Vargas scored in the 84th minute, and the fourth goal for Switzerland was scored by Xhaka from the penalty spot in the 96th minute.
Mahmić scored the honorary goal for the Dragons in the 93rd minute of the match.
The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will play the next and last match of Group B of the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Qatar on June 24 in Seattle.
The opponent of Sergej Babrarez’s team will be the Qatar national team.
Qatar has a point after the first round, and will play the second game tonight exactly at midnight CET against Canada.
The two best teams from each group will advance to the round of 16, along with the eight best third-placed teams.
After an incomplete second round, Switzerland has four points, and BiH, Canada and Qatar have one point each.
