Young Soldiers took an Oath in Pazaric

At the solemn ceremony held yesterday at the Center for Basic Training (CBT) in Pazaric, an oath was taken and the first contract on military service was signed by 145 candidates, who successfully completed basic military training in this Center.

The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AF of BiH), Major General – Mirko Tepsic and Commander of the CBT, Colonel – Jasmin Ganic, addressed to the new soldiers and congratulated them on signing the contract and taking the oath.

The Deputy Chief of Staff of the AF of BiH, Major General – Mirko Tepsic welcomed the new soldiers in the AF of BiH, and said he expected them to work on their improvement, the adoption of NATO standards, the strengthening of the personal and capacities of the AF of BiH because “only ready, well-trained and equipped, together with other members of AF of BiH can meet the conditions for the planned path to NATO.”

Commander of CBT, Colonel – Jasmin Ganic, in his address to the new AF of BiH soldiers, pointed out that one of the goals of their training was the transformation of civilians into technically and tactically trained soldiers who understand the importance of teamwork and are ready to take over all the obligations and duties of AF of BiH. He emphasized that military life requires great efforts and renunciations, but it shouldn’t be forgotten that the military job is “one of the most honorable professions and it presents a priceless lifetime experience.”

The candidates who achieved the best results in training were also praised: Belmin Novalic, Stefan Dabic, Petar Franjic and Cvijeta Ristanovic.

Military commissioner – Bosko Siljegovic, Mayor of EUFOR Staff, Brigadier General – Jozsef Szpisjak, Deputy Commander of AF of BiH Command, Brigadier General – Marko Stojcic, Deputy Commander of the AF of BiH Operational Command, Brigadier General – Mirsad Ahmic, representatives of  the Ministry of Defense and the AF of BiH, as well as family members, relatives and friends of young soldiers also attended this ceremony.
