Hockey players in the age group up to 8 years from the Sarajevo club ”Stari grad” outshined their competition at this weekend’s International tournament ”Spartans 2013” which was held in Subotica. Our youngest hockey players won five times in their matches against teams from Serbia and Macedonia. Young hockey players from Sarajevo won against all their opposing  teams such as ”Tisza Volan” from Szeged, ”Crvena Zvezda” and ”Partizan” from Belgrade, NS ”Stars” from Novi Sad and ”Spartak” from Subotica who were the hosts of this International tournament.

” To win against such great teams from the region such as ”Partizan”, ”Crvena Zvezda” and ”Spartak” is a great success. The conditions in which they train are next to incomparable to ours. That is why this success is so much bigger and of a greater value.”- said Adnan Mrkva.

Tournament ”Spartans” for children of 8-10 years of age, which was held on the 16th of February, gathered around 150 hockey players who represent the future potential of regional hockey.
