Youngest Sarajevans marked the Day of Sarajevo

children SarajevoWith the party on the Square of Children of Sarajevo was continued marking of the Day of the City of Sarajevo, on the 6th of April.

The party in the open ”I love Sarajevo” was opened by members of the children’s choir Palcic”, and during the day performed animators for children, a string quartet “Camerata Academica”, saz player Jusuf Brkic, the group Undergrounder on whose repertoire were hits of Sarajevo pop rock school.

The event was organized by the City of Sarajevo and at the opening of the party was announced that children wanted to celebrate the Day of Sarajevo in this way and to gift the most beautiful songs to their city.

Party was preceded by gathering of Mayor of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka with the citizens of Sarajevo, visitors, and tourists in the capital city of BiH.

Within the program of marking the Day of Sarajevo were laid flowers in front of the memorial Eternal Fire, paid tribute to martyrs and the fallen soldiers at the martyrs cemetery ”Kovaci ” and laid flowers at the memorial to the murdered children of besieged Sarajevo 1992-1995, graves of the killed policemen in the Great park, in front of a bust of Vladimir Peric Valter, Memorial park ”Vraca” and the old Jewish cemetery as well as city cemeteries.
