Zelensky meets with Trump at the White House

US President Donald Trump will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington today, the White House announced.

According to the official schedule, the meeting between Trump and Zelensky will begin at 7:15 p.m. Central European Time.

The US president will also hold a multilateral meeting with European leaders at 9 p.m.

During the meeting, Trump and Zelensky will focus on finding a solution to the conflict in Ukraine.

It was previously announced that the meeting with Trump will be attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen via video link, TASS reports.

On Friday, August 15, Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska. The American leader then spoke by phone with Zelensky, then with Von der Leyen, and with the leaders of Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Poland, Finland, and France.
