Zvizdic thanked for the support of the EBRD to BiH and said that the projects that were implemented so far from the sector of infrastructure and economic development were successfully realized. He emphasized the fact that the EBRD is the most important institutional investor in the development of BiH. He said that European integration and activation of MAP for membership in NATO are the most important foreign policy priorities of BiH.

He informed the prominent guests with the degree of realization of the goals of the Economic reform agenda and realization of the conditions on the road towards the European Union. He also noted the fact that the Council of Ministers of BiH defined action plans and strategic goals in key sectors of infrastructure, energy, industry, agriculture and tourism. He said that it will be necessary to maintain the quality of investment in the infrastructure sector, tourism, agribusiness and sector of energy efficiency for the future period, but also to increase the quality of resources for small and medium enterprises in order to increase their productivity and creation of new workplaces, with a special focus on young people.

Representatives of the EBRD expressed their satisfaction with the implementation of already agreed projects. They introduced Zvizdic and ministers Sarovic and Bevanda with the development of a five-year strategy for BiH and expressed satisfaction with the fact that those key sectors comply with the strategic directions that are defined in the five-year plan of EBRD. They were interested in the development of private sector as well and agreed that the infrastructure sector is extremely important and that it should focus on small and medium enterprises.

Zvizdic informed high officials of the EBRD that the Council of Ministers of BiH will continue to work on strengthening of the business environment in the future period, and noted that besides the economic development of BiH, one of the permanent priorities is the creation of new workplaces for young people.

Representatives of the EBRD have praised adoption of a number of medium and long-term strategies for improvement of lives of people. They also emphasized the importance of the agreed arrangements with the IMF, noting its importance for financial stability and economic development.

During the meeting, they also discussed the annual meeting of the EBRD, which will be held in 2019 in Sarajevo, and which was decided at the conference of Governors in May last year in London, as announced by the Council of Ministers of BiH.
