Zvizdić invited Chinese Companies to implement their Projects in BiH

zvizdic-huaveiChairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić met yesterday in Riga with officials of Chinese technological and investment corporations Huawei, Nuctech and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) who attended the Business Forum within the Fifth Summit of 16 prime ministers of the countries of central and eastern Europe with the Prime Minister of China (16+1).

Chairman Zvizdić informed the directors of Chinese companies about the current situation in BiH. He said that BiH made a significant political and economic progress, which was recognized by the European partners. He also emphasized that BiH is awaiting the questionnaire from the EU and the status of a candidate for membership by the end of next year. Furthermore, Zvizdić highlighted that all macroeconomic indicators move in a positive direction, which is a result of a determined reform policy aimed at creating a positive business environment, attracting foreign investments and creating new work places in order to improve the living standard of the citizens of BiH.

Representatives of Chinese companies said that they follow closely the events in BiH. They emphasized the previous positive experiences of Chinese companies in BiH and expressed interest in investing in the fields of energy, transportation, agriculture, safety and management of different types of specialized waste.

Chairman Zvizdić told the directors that BiH has quality, educated workforce and access to the EU market and invited the officials of Chinese companies to implement their projects in BiH. He thanked the company Nuctech for their very valuable donation of specialized scanner vehicles for detailed examination of trucks to the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, which will significantly increase the safety of BiH borders.

Moreover, Chairman Zvizdić visited the exhibition salon of Huawei, where he attended presentations of the latest technological achievements of this Chinese company. Meetings were also attended by the Deputy Chairman and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović, stated the Council of Ministers of BiH.
