Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Haris Hrle handed letters of credentials to President Enrique Peña Nieta. Formal submission of letters of credentials was preceded by a solemn reception at the presidential palace with the intonation of national anthems.
During the meeting, ambassador of BiH underlined the importance of the reform processes and the commitment of BiH towards the European Union and NATO. Moreover, the focus of the discussions were investment opportunities, tourist potentials and conditions of cultural development.
President Nieto welcomed the inauguration of the honorary consulate of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Mexico City scheduled for May 25, 2017. Honorable consul of BiH Nadine Karachi Estrada, will begin on May 25 with extensive activities related to investment, tourism development and cultural cooperation.
The opening of the honorary consulate enhances the significance, visibility and protection of the interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Mexico, Central and South America.
The Ambassador of BiH to the United States serves as a permanent observer at the Organization of the United States of America.
