According to data from the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 12 parties and coalitions will hold seats in the new composition of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Based on the number of votes won in this month’s General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) will hold the largest share of the 98 total seats in the House of Representatives (31).

The Social Democratic Party of BiH (SDP BiH) ranks second with 16 seats, while the coalition led by the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) BiH has secured 15 seats.

Next are the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina with nine seats, and the coalition consisting of NiP, SDBiH, and SPU with seven. Following them in terms of seats won are the Democratic Front (DF) with six, and both Naša stranka and the coalition of NES, PDA, and Naprijed with four seats each.

The coalition comprising HDZ 1990, HDS, HRS, and HSS won three seats, while the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Initiative – Kasumović Fuad, HNP, and Pomak will each hold one seat.

In the previous four-year term of the House of Representatives, 14 political entities and five independent representatives held seats. Specifically, within the 98-seat House, the SDA held 26 seats; the coalition led by the HDZ held 15—the same number as the SDP—followed by the DF with 12 seats, and the political entity “Povjerenje!” (Narod i Pravda, SPU BiH) 7, Naša stranka 5, NES – For a European BiH 3, Party for BiH 2, HDZ 1990 3, Bosnian-Herzegovinian Initiative – Fuad Kasumović 1, HNP – Croatian National Shift 1—the same number held by the Croatian Republican Party, the Movement of Democratic Action, and Pomak – Movement for a Modern and Active Krajina.

Among the political entities that will hold more seats in the new term of the House compared to the total from the previous convocation are the SDA (five more seats), the SBiH (seven more), and the SDP (one additional seat).

In terms of individual members, the new convocation will include both returning representatives and new faces. Among the newcomers are individuals already well-known in the political life of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as some who previously served in the Federal Parliament, though not during the past four years.
