UEFA reveals who is Bosnian with the most Matches played

hasan salihamidzicMost matches in the Champions League since 1955, were played by Iker Casillas. The Spanish goalkeeper played in 168 matches of the most prestigious club competition in the Old Continent.

According to the official list issued by the European Football Association (UEFA), among the top ten players in the Champions League are four Spanish, Portuguese, Welsh, Italian, Dutch, English and Brazilian.

After Casillas the top 10 are: Xavi Hernandez – (157 games, 12 goals – Spain), Ryan Giggs (151, 30 – Welsh), Raul Gonzalez (144, 71 – Spain), Cristiano Ronaldo (144, 106) Paul Scholes (130, 25 – England), Roberto Carlos (128, 17 – Brazil), Xabi Alonso (127, 6 – Spain), Maldini (139, 3 – Italy) and Clarence Seedorf (131, 12 Netherlands).

When speaking about the football players who live in the countries of the region, the following players played the most football matches: Dejan Stankovic (Serbia) – 93, who is on 46th place on the list, while Hasan Salihamidzic (Bosnia and Herzegovina) played 92 matches, is on the 47th place and shares 10 goals with Allie Delgado (92, 44).

Dario Srna (Croatia) is on the 56th place with 88 matches in the Champions League (6 goals).
