Minister of Defense of BiH met with Military Attaché of the USA

Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Marina Pendes met with a military attaché of the United States of America (USA) brigadier of Marko M. Karas, with whom she discussed the activities of the BiH Ministry of Defense in the process of activating the NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP), implementation of the adopted document “Defense Review” and about the current issues in the area of military-defense cooperation between BiH and the USA.

During the meeting, Minister Pendes emphasized that the Ministry of Defense of BiH has made significant efforts to fulfill the conditions for the activation of the MAP and expressed the expectation that in the coming period these results will be even more visible. Moreover, she pointed out on the commitment of the Ministry of Defense in the process of official entry of military assets and progress in the implementation of the “Defense Review”.

Brigadier Karas thanked Minister Pendes for the contribution of AF BiH members during their participation in the international exercise “Jackal Stone”, praising the capabilities of the Armed Forces of BiH during the exercise, which took place from June 05th until 14th this year.

Moreover, Brigadier Karas expressed his commitment and dedication to the activation of the MAP and expressed support for the activities of the Ministry of Defense in this direction.
