Decrease of Cross-Border Traffic in Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded

In the first quarter of 2020, on the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the incoming number of passengers was 4.213.687, which shows a decrease of 17,2% compared to the first quarter 2019, according to the data of Bosnian Agency for Statistics.

The structures of the total number of passengers who have entered to the BiH included 39,3% of domestic passengers and 60,7% foreign passengers. In regard to the type of traffic, 97,0% of the boundary passenger traffic refers to road border traffic.

In the first quarter of 2020 year, on the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the incoming traffic of passenger road motor vehicles was 1.738.325 vehicles whish shows a decrease of 16,8% compared the first quarter 2019. The structure of the road border traffic of motor vehicles, 34,8% involved vehicles with domestic plates, and 65,2% with foreign plates.
