Four more police officers from the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of the Interior were arrested on Thursday morning as part of the “Gift 1” operation. This information was confirmed by Azra Bavcic, spokesperson for Canton Sarajevo Prosecutor’s Office.
“Four officials were deprived of liberty for the criminal offense of receiving gifts and other forms of benefit and abuse of position or authority,” Bavcic said.
Earlier, 18 police officers were arrested in this action, and “Dar” is considered to be the largest internal confrontation between the police and corruption so far, Raport.ba reports.
