From the 1st August 2014, the amendments to the Law on Excise Duties will be applied. Namely, it will represent a new way of taxing tobacco for the rolling and smoking cigars and cigarillos.
According to the Administration for Indirect taxation (ITA), the previously mentioned presents the continuation of harmonization of excise policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the one from the European Union.
In addition, with the aforementioned changes the different way of determining the amount of the excise tax on tobacco smoking will be introduced. Namely, the excise tax on tobacco smoking in the 2014 will amount to 78 BAM / kg.
