President of the Association “Families of Missing Persons of Vogošća municipality” Ema Čekić said that the silhouettes show what it is like to live without one’s loved ones.

”We want to send a message to all institutions that we are still searching for eight thousand missing persons in BiH, even though it has been 24 years since they disappeared,” she said.

She emphasized that families of the missing persons will not stop searching for their loved ones.

Head of the Program for the Western Balkans of the International Commission for Missing Persons (ICMP) Matthew Holliday said that the issue of missing persons in BiH and other countries is firstly a human rights issue, that is, rule of democracy.

He emphasized that ICMP representatives are participating in the walk to support families of missing persons in BiH.
