Arriving European Union Force (EUFOR) personnel are currently preparing for reinforced operational patrols to support their partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

EUFOR has announced the arrival and preparation of new staff on its Twitter account.

To recall, 500 EUFOR soldiers arrived in BiH.

The new soldiers will be housed in Camp Butmir near Sarajevo.

EUFOR has previously said that the deteriorating security situation at the international level could potentially cause instability in BiH and that the deployment of these forces is a precautionary measure.

”Measures are being taken to strengthen stability in BiH by positioning a sufficient number of capable forces in the country to support BiH institutions in maintaining a secure and stable environment,” EUFOR explained.

Furthermore, it was noted that a military convoy arrived on Thursday night.
