Director of the Agency for Forensic Investigations and Expertise of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Radiša Samardžija, today spoke with the head of the Program for the Western Balkans of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), Matthew Holliday, about the continuation of cooperation with the ICMP.

The topics of the meeting were the presentation of the measures taken so far, as well as the continuation of cooperation in connection with the implementation of the project “Continuation of support for BiH to take on the issue of persons missing in the last conflict and to take greater responsibility for the process” which is financed with the funds of the IPA II program.

By holding the previous meetings, the basis for the implementation of project activities was established, for which the holding of professional trainings for the Agency’s employees in the Laboratory for biological expertise and DNA analysis, both in the Agency’s premises and in the ICMP’s premises in The Hague, was extremely important, the Agency stated.

During the meeting, they agreed on further activities with the aim of successful implementation of the project, which envisages the structural adaptation of the Agency’s premises, the procurement of equipment and the education of employees.
