Agreement on Cooperation in Establishment of ATM Network

bankomatThe leadership of four banks-Bosna Bank International (BBI), Investment-Commercial Bank Zenica (IKB), Economic Bank Sarajevo (PBS) and the Union Bank Sarajevo signed in Sarajevo an agreement on business cooperation in forming an affiliate ATM network of banks that are members of Bamcard networks (BiH Network).

The BiH Network is an agreement of banks that enable their clients, users of visa electronic debit cards to withdraw cash without a fee at the joint network of ATM’s.

The realization of the project of the four BiH banks establishes a measure of 70 ATM’s in 29 cities throughout BiH with a tendency to spread, according toe the Director of BBI Bank Amer Bukvić at a press conference.

This would enable clients of the bank access to account funds without fees, and at a much larger amount of ATM’s in relation to the number available today.

The implementation of the project would result in an increase in transactions to about one million annually.

The realization of the project is possible tanks to Bamcard infrastructure, a unique national procedural center that banks used by participants use for processing credit card transactions.
